In full tribal dress and richly adorned with silver ornaments, seven Akha perform a ritual circular dance, moving in an anticlockwise direction, and accompanied by the dance-leader on a mouth organ. Girls of the Akha village, likewise adorned for dancing, are standing in the background.

เชือกสองเส้นกับเมล็ดไขมุกสีขาว และเส้นฝ้ายที่ทำหน้าที่เป็นเส้นยืนถูกขึงกับไม้ไผ่ เส้นด้ายสีแดงจะสานขัดไปมากับเส้นยืนนั้น และมีการร้อยเมล็ดไข่มุกไปตลอดเส้น ปลายชิ้นงานปรากฏการใช้เชือกหลากสีในการขมวดปลาย

Two threads with white seed pearls and two strings consisting of seven cotton threads each are strung on a bamboo bow in the manner of a warp. A red cotton thread is passed through the warp by hand. Thus a ribbon is made the edges of which are formed by the two rows of pearls. The end of the ribbon is finally decorated with a tassel of variously coloured cotton threads.

เส้นฝ้ายจะถูกร้อยผ่านฟืม ทั้งด้านหน้าและหลัง เพื่อเป็นเส้นยืนในการทอโดยการใช้ขนเม่นเป็นกระสวนนำ ด้ายเส้นยืนถูกขึงบนกรอบไม้ และติดตั้งโดยมีรอกเป็นไม้คานหูกด้านบน เส้นด้ายที่เหลือจะโยงไปยังเท้าเหยียบ และจะเป็นขั้นตอนการทอในลำดับถัดไป

The end loops of the lease in the fixed warp are cut, and the crossed warp threads alternately threaded into the heddles of the front and back shafts. ผู้ปั่นฝ้ายถือแกนหมุนไว้ในมือซ้าย และยึดเส้นใยไว้กับไน เส้นฝ้ายจะค่อยหมุนเข้ากับแกนจนกลายเป็นเส้น ผู้ปั่นจะค่อยดึงเส้นใยและปั่นไปตามแกนหมุน เส้นในจะพันจนเต็มกลัก

The spinner holds a spinning roll in her left hand, fixes a few fibers into the hook of the spindle point and makes a short thread by rotating the spindle in her hand. After this, she rolls the spindle on her tight and lets it rotate freely on the thread. She continually draws out fibers and twists them by means of the rotating spindle. When the thread is spun it is wound on the spindle.

Virtual borders (จินตบัญญัติ โดย มานู ลุกค์)

Virtual borders เป็นภาพยนตร์บอกเล่าเรื่องราวของผู้นำชาวอาข่าชื่อ Abaw Buseuv ที่ได้เดินทางจากประเทศไทยไปยังประเทศจีนเพื่อเข้าร่วมการชุมนุมของชาวอาข่า มีการกระจายเสียงและส่งข้อมูลไปยังชาวอาข่าที่อยู่ในประเทศไทย อาข่าเป็นชนกลุ่มน้อยที่กระจายอยู่ทั่วไปในพื้นที่ชายแดนของห้าประเทศ ได้แก่ ไทย พม่า (เมียนมาร์), จีน, เวียดนาม และลาว นอกจาการชุมนุมแล้วภาพยนตร์ยังได้นำเสนอเรื่องราวชีวิตและความเป็นอยู่ของอา ข่าด้วย

เส้นฝ้ายสองเส้นผูกเข้ากับคันธนูไม้ไผ่ ส่วนล่างของคันธนูมีขนไก่ผูกติด และมีเชือกที่ปลายเชือกทั้งสองข้างมีขนไก่ผูกติด เส้นด้ายที่ผูกเรียบร้อยแล้วจะย้อมเป็นสีแดง ส่วนเชือกจะย้อมด้วยสีสันที่หลากหลาย

Two cotton threads are strung on a bamboo bow, the lower part of a small chicken feather the quill of which has been cut off is stuck between the two threads. The feather is wound around both threads and the top of the feather is again stuck between two threads. The feather which has thus been fixed to the threads is pushed aside with a needle. The finished cord is dyed red and gets a multicoloured tassel of cotton threads attached to one end.

A tree is fallen with a hewing knife, a block of about 6 ft. is cut off the trunk and taken to the village. The outer layer of the bark is separated by scratching, the bast layer beaten with a wooden hammer and rolled up to form a torus. After the beating the roll is unrolled into a tubular shape and hung to dry on a pole. On the following day the tubular piece of bast is taken down and cut open.

A bamboo basket, which is already finished, is given a plaited coat to strengthen it. The plaitings round the bottom and the upper half of the basket run parallel to the edges whereas that covering the lower half is an open three-directional plaiting. A diagonal plaiting technique is used to make the lid.
