The marches of Tibet, China and Mongolia, Amdo is the Mecca of Tibetan culture. The natives of Reb-gong are strong Buddhists, but at the same time, they practice a religion older people in small secular temples where they worship the "gods of the land", often treated as sacred mountains. Each year in the middle of the sixth lunar month, the celebration of the ritual was sealed the alliance of the villagers with their protective deities. The masters of this "game-ritual", which lasts three to five days depending on the village, mediums, shamans are called "lhaw".
