At the beginning of the 80s, young students from the Maghreb put the first ranging-poles of the Movement Beur. Bathed by the leftist sphere of influence, this Second Generation tries to become emancipated and to go out of the social and mental ghetto in which it survives for a long time. This movement is 20 years old today: what is its inheritance? These "walkers" of the 80s didn't manage to pass on this need, this will to involve in the social, political and cultural world. Today, they tell us their feelings, their hopes, their regrets, concerning a critical and subjective glance this movement and the political and social disengagement of the 3rd generation. Many young people from immigration have difficulty in finding their place as citizen. 20 years later persist a feeling of faintness and a distrust towards the also perceptible political. Faintness also perceptible with the former of the Beur Movement who regret this absence of political transmission between the generations.
