In August 2012, the SAC was pleased to host the "2012 International Field School Alumni Seminar on Safeguarding Intangible Cultural Heritage in the Asia-Pacific." Organized in cooperation with the International Research Centre for Intangible Cultural Heritage in the Asia-Pacific (IRCI) and hosted in Lamphun Province, Thailand, the Field School Alumni Seminar brought together alumni and resource persons to share their experiences on safeguarding intangible cultural heritage (ICH) via their home institutions, as well as the impacts of lessons from previous Field Schools on these efforts. Engaging in research presentations, lively discussions, and site visits, participants grappled with issues that are at the core of safeguarding debates, and collaborated on illuminating and understanding the complexities of ICH management.

On this occasion, the FS organizers took the opportunity to interview the FS Alumni in order to record their perspectives and feelings regarding application of concepts and methods from the Field School in their work. The following questions were guideline to the Alumni Seminar participants:

		Introduction: who are the Fieldschool participants?
		Question 1: How have you applied lessons from Field School to you own work and/or research?
		Question 2: What are the challenges to safeguarding intangible cultural heritage in your country and/or institution?
		Question 3: How can heritage institutions and museums in the Asia-Pacific region support each other to safeguard heritage?
