The Royal Thai Navy Museum

The Royal Thai Navy Museum was the first to be established by the Navy. The History Department of the Navy had been assigned the mission of collecting old weapons and vessels no longer in service, which were very valuable as historical items related to the Royal Thai Navy. The collection work, started in 1942, went on until 1953 when the Museum Division was set up under the History Department. The new division was responsible for the management and preservation of the obsolete items that had been collected. It was able to open its first exhibition in 1955.
