Review of Cultural Center of Khon Sawan District

The Khiew Royal Residence is a wooden house painted green. Built in 1950, it originally was the Chaiyaphum Provincial Hall. Later on, it was used a royal residence during the time His Majesty the King made his frequent trips to Isan provinces to visit his people. He referred to the residence here “Tum Nak Khiew” (Green Royal Residence). This explains how people have come to call it so too. The Residence since those days had undesgone renovations twice.

Review ศูนย์การเรียนรู้วัฒนธรรมและวิถีชุมชนภาคตะวันออก ชุมชนบ้านหนองผูกเต่า

The Centre is a multi-purpose, one-story building situated in the Viharn Dharma Temple in the village of Ban Nong Tao, Sa Kaeo District, Sa Kaeo Province. First built in 2000 by Phra Kru Sunthornsaradharma, the Abbot, with the fund from SIF (Social Investment Fund), it was meant to be a multi-purpose learning centre of the community, a platform for exchanging knowledge, a conference room, a library, and a folk museum. The current managing director is Ajarn Thirapon Chantawong.

Review สถานแสดงพันธุ์สัตว์น้ำระยอง

The aquarium is located at Phe Bay in Rayong Province on the eastern coast. Review พิพิธภัณฑ์พื้นบ้านวัดเขากระโดน

The temple was built in the reign of King Rama IV and is located about 14 kilometers from the district center. In 1992, it was chosen as an outstanding development temple. It is also an education park for the community and houses a statue of Ven. Nivasthamasarn (Luang Phoh To), a highly respected monk of the province.

The temple is located in Tambon Ta Khan and the current abbot is Ven. Wibulpharakit, who was ordained in 1952. He is a well-respected development-minded monk who initiated the establishment of the museum. With his education-oriented mind, he headed the construction of a temple school and developed the temple to become a learning center for the local youths.

Review พิพิธภัณฑ์หนังใหญ่วัดบ้านดอน

Wat Ban Don Shadow Play has been existing for over 200 years. The play was performed in Southern Thailand. While it was performed at Phathalung Province, the then Rayaong ruler, Phraya Sri Samut Phokhaphai Chokchitsongkhram (Ket Yomchinda), who had heard about its fame, contacted the troupe and bought 200 sets of the shadow play. Performers were hired to teach his subjects and the sets were kept at Wat Chantha Udom (Wat Keng), which is nowadays the provincial hospital.

The temple is located on the left bank of the Bang Pa Kong River. It was built over 200 years ago and its former name was Wat Si Lat Sathatham. When the Supreme Patriarch, Somdet Phra Maha Samanachao Kromphraya Wachirayanwarorot, visited the region during the reign of King Rama V, the temple name was changed to the present one, which is the name of the district.

Review of Wat Sanga Ngam Museum

Wat Sa-nga Ngam is a very old monastery in Prachin Buri Province. It was built in 1903. Phra Piyasert Pasitdhito, who took us around, explained that the museum temple was truly originated from the good faith of the devotees. In the final phase of the preparations for the official inauguration of the museum, many people upon hearing the news flocked in with donations of valuable ancient objects including Buddha images, earthenware pots, crockery items.
