In this lecture, Dr. Stefano talked about transmitting, revitalizing, enhancing, and promoting ICH. She discussed tools and activities that can be used to safeguard expressions of culture. Once these expressions are safeguarded, practitioners must develop strategies for transmitting and maintaining the lived nature of the practices. In this sense, practitioners must engage in enhancement and promotion of cultural expressions, which are two efforts that go hand-in-hand. The fact that expressions can change and evolve throughout time also must be taken into account.
